Law Office of Sara Zalkin

Ms. Zalkin received her law degree from UC Hastings in 2002, and has represented hundreds of clients in state and federal court since her admission to the bar that same year.  An outspoken proponent of marijuana legalization, Ms. Zalkin is growing weary of "fighting over plants," and has begun shifting the focus of her practice to wrongful convictions.

Court Admissions:
Ms. Zalkin is admitted to all California State Courts, the Federal Courts of the Northern; Eastern; and Central Districts of California. In 2013 she was admitted to practice in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. Ms. Zalkin has previously been admitted to practice pro hac vice in the Middle District of Florida; the Western District of Texas; the Southern District of New York; the Southern District of Iowa; the State of Nebraska; the State of Nevada; and the State of Ohio, and has argued in the Eighth and Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals..

Ms. Zalkin is a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and a Faculty Member at Oaksterdam University
